Anti-terror drill at Limassol marina successfully completed

Police ask public not to be alarmed at the sight of swat teams and emergency vehicles

An anti-terrorism drill took place at the Limassol marina Wednesday morning, with police and staff on site joining forces during the “Tritonas 201” exercise.

Police were asking the public to follow instructions by officials during the emergency drill, which took place between 8:30am and 12 noon.

Police officials were asking the public not to be alarmed over the sight of special police officers duing the exercise, as member of the swat team were using blank bullets and there were ambulances and fire engines at the scene, including people pretending to be seriously injured.
