Cyprus welcomes PACE President for official visit

Tiny Kox to engage with party representatives and Minister of Justice

President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Tiny Kox will pay an official visit to Cyprus, on 5-7 of July, at the invitation of President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou.

According to a press release by the Parliament, the PACE President will be received by the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, and will have a separate meeting with the President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou.

He will also have separate meetings with the leaders or representatives of the political parties in the Parliament and with Minister of Justice and Public Order Anna Koukkides Prokopiou. Furthermore, Kox will meet with the members of the Cypriot delegation to the PACE, Nicos Tornaritis, Yiorgos Loukaides, Christiana Erotokritou, and Costis Efstathiou.

The President of PACE will address the House of Representatives' plenary session in a special House session, on Thursday. In addition, he will meet with the Mayor of Famagusta, Simos Ioannou, and members of the Municipal Council, at the cultural center of occupied Famagusta located in Deryneia.
