A delivery guy in Limassol says he was attacked and robbed by three hooded men.

Reports say a 28-year-old man from India was physically assaulted on Sunday evening, while he was on food delivery in the Neapolis area. According to police, the incident took place around 7:30pm, when the man trying to deliver food came under attack by three men who had their faces covered.

The three assailants managed to pin the delivery guy down while taking the keys to his moped, a travel pouch with €318 cash inside, and the actual order of a hot meal that was worth €20.

Previous incident with hooded men

The incident comes two weeks following another attack by hooded men in Larnaca, who attacked an African male after he came out of a taxi in front of his residence. According to Philenews, the incident took place in mid-December but was not reported to authorities due to the victim fearing the police over past experiences with law enforcement officers.

According to the report, the victim had gone to the airport to say goodbye to some friends and then got a taxi back home, when the hooded men assaulted him as he was getting inside his residential building.

Shocking details in the attack included the men punching their victim and using pliers to remove four of his teeth, with the man screaming in pain but no neighbours coming to his rescue or calling the police.

Reports, which were not independently confirmed, also said the perpetrators covered their faces with what resembled white hoods reminiscent of the Ku Klux Klan.
