EIB explores Cyprus collaboration for economic growth

Vice President Kakouris charts path for financial support

European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President Kyriakos Kakouris is on a visit to Cyprus, engaging in meetings with Cypriot officials.

According to the Ministry of Finance statement, during his stay, Mr. Kakouris, accompanied by a delegation from the EIB responsible for Cyprus financing, is scheduled for meetings with various state officials, including the Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works, Alexis Vafeiadis, the Directors-General of the Ministries of Education, Sports and Youth, and Interior, as well as the President of the Administrative Board of the CCB.

Discussions in these meetings revolve around collaboration between Cyprus and the EIB, focusing on the Bank's activities as part of joint efforts to support the Cypriot economy.

Additionally, today, at the Ministry of Finance's multipurpose hall, Mr. Kakouris will present the EIB's annual financial results for 2023, its actions in Cyprus during the same period, and the advisory services offered by the Bank. Minister of Finance Makis Keraunos will deliver a welcoming address.
