Humanitarian aid to Gaza ready to be shipped

Initiative aims to provide crucial support to civilian population in challenging conditions

Newsroom

The initial consignment of humanitarian assistance destined for the civilian population in Gaza has reached Cyprus, facilitated through the established sea corridor initiated by the Republic of Cyprus, as confirmed by a government official to CNA.

The shipment, arriving at Larnaca airport, is slated for temporary storage in a designated facility in Larnaca until logistical arrangements permit its onward transport. Once conditions are conducive, the 80-tonne humanitarian aid cargo will be dispatched to Gaza, a source informed CBC. The delivery, arriving on a British military aircraft, underscores Cyprus's commitment to providing support to civilians in Gaza.
