US conducts historic airdrop of aid in Gaza

Three C-130s deliver vital supplies as US responds to Palestinian needs

Newsroom

In a significant humanitarian effort, the US armed forces executed the inaugural airdrop of essential aid supplies in Gaza yesterday, as reported by two anonymous US officials. The three C-130 transport aircraft embarked on this mission from the US base in Qatar, where provisions for Palestinians in need had been meticulously assembled.

The officials, choosing to remain unidentified, disclosed that the drops comprised crucial humanitarian aid shipments. Among the delivered supplies were 35,000 meals, a commendable gesture, although woefully insufficient considering the staggering estimate of at least 1.5 million displaced and homeless Palestinians in the aftermath of the Israeli army's operation.

This initiative follows US President Joe Biden's commitment to extend assistance to the Palestinians in the wake of the tragic incident involving Israeli gunfire during a mission to distribute food and water in Gaza. The said operation resulted in the loss of at least 117 lives and left hundreds more wounded.
