The results of the third person who had visited the Limassol General Hospital on Thursday to get tested for CoVid-19 emerged negative, as did the results of the remaining two.

Spreading the news, Health Minister Constantinos Ioannou said on Twitter that “unfortunately it is not a matter of if we will have a confirmed case, but a matter of when. Today, the World Health Organization announced that it expects coronavirus to reach most, if not all, the countries of the world.”

The latest coronavirus scare emerged on Thursday, when three individuals visited Limassol General Hospital on Thursday in order to get tested for the virus.

The three included a couple who recently travelled to Rome, and who were said to have been released from hospital.

The third person, whose results came out negative on Thursday afternoon, had travelled recently to Milan and was said to be exhibiting mild symptoms of the coronavirus.

Two other women remain quarantined in Cyprus as high risk travelers after being in contact with confirmed cases, one at a conference in Italy and the other on a chartered evacuation flight to Israel that later landed in Cyprus.

There has been no confirmed case of the novel coronavirus in the Republic of Cyprus.
