Fair skies with low chances of rain

Partly cloudy, low 20’s, rain through Sunday not ruled out over some areas

A wind front from the north and northeast is affecting Cyprus, with low chances of rain Thursday and Friday possibly in the north and out west.

Thursday skies will be clear in the early part of the day while increasing clouds will appear over local areas, with low chances of showers in the north and parts west.

Winds will range from weak to moderate in the early parts and in the evening, while strong afternoon winds are expected to during windfall along coastal areas. The sea will range from relatively calm to choppy waters throughout the day.

Maximum high temperatures are expected to reach 21° Celsius inland and on the eastern coast, 23 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 11 in the mountains.

In the evening, scattered clouds and possible showers could turn into isolated thunderstorms over local areas, but chances remain low. Minimum lows will register about 10 degrees inland, 13 along the coast, while it will drop down to 5 degrees in the mountains.

Friday and weekend skies will be partly cloudy with periods of clear weather, while rain showers are expected over some areas. No change in temperature is expected until Sunday when highs are expected to rise slightly but remain within normal averages for this time of the year.
