Limassol Greens: The most anticipated golf resort in Cyprus

Limassol Greens, the most anticipated golf resort in Cyprus, has hosted media, associates and stakeholders in a special event at its newly opened Property Sales Office opposite Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday 13th June. Guests had the opportunity to learn more about this amazing development and how it is swiftly progressing to become one of the most desired destinations in Cyprus for living and investment.

The project was designed by global architecture and design firm HKS to seamlessly blend nature with nurture in a stunning resort, the first of its kind in Cyprus. With only 10% density on the 1.4sqm land which has been a bountiful farming area for the Lanitis Family for over 80 years, Luciano Mazza, the architect behind the remarkable transformation of the farm has created an immersive experience. As well as over 750 residences including villas, townhouses and apartments, the resort will include a sophisticated Golf Club House and 18-hole golf course, commercial facilities, a blissful wellness centre and energetic fitness club, gourmet experiences and nature walks.

Inspired by the local Mediterranean architecture, HKS’ brief for the residences was to create idyllic holiday villas and comfortable residential homes within this urban resort. Limassol Greens vision was to deliver a refined and elegant approach to contemporary living. Simple lines create pure volumes which sit on manicured Mediterranean gardens, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces activating a truly enhanced experience with multiple points of interest, including pools, outdoor dining spaces and firepits.

Situated within easy reach of Limassol and next to the picturesque Akrotiri Salt Lake and the Asomatos Forest, the villas and townhouses will sit in clusters on both sides of the golf course, and overlook the surrounding fields and the lake, while the apartments’ generously sized terraces will face the golf course.

The Limassol Greens Golf Course will boast unique scenery while engulfing the resort at 6,404 metres and will be set in an exquisitely natural landscape, with an array of feature ponds, olive and carob trees, distinctive of the Mediterranean flora. Designed by the renowned master golf architect, Cabell B. Robinson, the course will feature opulent Bermuda grass, generous fairways, surging greens and astonishing pot bunkers to enthral every golf aficionado.

The golf clubhouse, located at the heart of Limassol Greens, will sit on the gentle hill overlooking the rest of the development. The complex will also include wellness centre, which will feature a variety of outdoor terraces and open spaces, allowing visitors to connect with nature.

Limassol Greens is currently under development with the first residential buildings and golf course being delivered in 2024. The project, which is being developed by Lanitis Golf Public Co Ltd, a company owned by the Lanitis Group and a Maltese consortium of investors, has had a great success so far with sales surpassing 55 million Euros.

Demos Panayiotou, CEO, Limassol Greens says:
''This transformative project is set to generate numerous job opportunities across various sectors, stimulating growth and prosperity within the community. Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond environmental stewardship; we prioritize supporting local businesses, fostering partnerships, and contributing to the social fabric of Limassol.''

George Englezos, Chief Commercial Officer, Limassol Greens said:
''When this amazing residential golf resort started to be built, we wanted to go beyond the conventional limits, offering an irresistible investment opportunity and an idyllic city environment, which will offer a truly unparalleled lifestyle. This vision is being gradually realised into an
unexpectedly lush landscape, a serene, relaxing setting just minutes from the lively and vibrant culture of Limassol city centre, and very close to the endless sandy beaches and the crystal-clear blue waters. Limassol Greens will redefine and elevate the notion of Mediterranean living.''

Luciano Mazza, Director of Hospitality Architecture, HKS says:
''It was a pleasure to reimagine this beautiful, bountiful land into Limassol Greens, creating contemporary spaces, with a nod to local architecture and craftsmanship. Through incorporating large gardens and terraces, we wanted to enhance the outdoor living experience for the residents. This was further reflected in the calming interiors, inspired by the colours of the local landscape. Wherever possible we wanted to enhance the closeness to nature in our design, introducing natural materials as well as a variety of green spaces across the resort.''
