A warm air mass moving across Cyprus will stick around this week with temperature highs reaching 40 degrees on Tuesday, with a noticeable drop expected the following day in half of the island and further cooling for the rest of the week.

Despite cooler temps and rain making an appearance last week, clear skies and hot temperatures are expected Monday with highs expected to reach 38 degrees Celsius inland, around 34 in the south and east, 32 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 31 high up in the mountains.

Temperature highs are expected to drop noticeably on Wednesday in most areas, except in the south and east where the drop will be only slightly noticeable at first

Moderate to strong winds are expected in the afternoon while evening skies will be mostly clear, with temperature lows registering at 25 degrees in the interior, southeast, and eastern shores, around 23 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 21 high up in the mountains.

Tuesday weather will be hot with inland highs expected to reach 40 degrees, while it will be 35 along the coast, and 32 high up in the mountains.

Temperature highs are expected to drop noticeably on Wednesday in most areas, except in the south and east where the drop will be only slightly noticeable.

Clouds are also expected Thursday and Friday, with increasing clouds in the north and out west.

Further temperature decreases are expected later in the week across the board, including a sharp drop in the south and east that is expected to bring the entire island’s temperature levels very close to normal averages or this time of the year.
