AEGEAN has been named Europe’s Best Regional Airline for the 15th consecutive year and for the 16th time overall during its 27 years of operation, at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards. This latest recognition from Skytrax, the International Airline Rating Organization Survey, is a significant recognition of the trust and appreciation of AEGEAN’s passengers, while also underscoring the airline’s continued commitment to quality, service excellence and the ongoing enhancement of the travel experience.
In addition, AEGEAN retained its 4th place in the global ranking for the title of “World’s Best Regional Airline,” further reinforcing its consistent presence among the world’s leading regional airlines.
The Skytrax World Airline Awards are widely regarded as the most recognized and independent global benchmark for airline excellence. The winners are determined exclusively by travelers themselves, through the world’s largest passenger satisfaction survey, establishing the awards as a leading benchmark for excellence in the global airline industry. For this reason, they are often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry.”
The award event was held in London at the Langham Hotel, where representatives of the company, along with cabin crew members participated and received the honorary distinction.
