Announcement: New Leadership Appointments at K. Treppides & Co Ltd

George Strati is appointed as Director, Member of the Board of Directors

George Strati is appointed as Director in the Audit and Assurance Department.

George joined the firm Ltd in 2013 and was promoted to a Senior Manager and appointed member of the Board of Management in 2021. He has extensive experience in audit and assurance services, working with both local and international public and private companies, across a wide range of industries, including financial services, technology, communications, and entertainment. He also possesses strong knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation and financial reporting and auditing standards, enabling him to provide well-rounded guidance to clients.

Currently, George leads the assurance and consulting services of the Audit and Assurance Department.

He holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC), and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) as he holds the Advanced Diploma in International Tax (ADIT).

Stelios Yiannaki is appointed as Director, Secretary of the Board of Directors

Stelios Yiannaki is appointed as a Director in the International Compliance and Advisory Services Department.

Stelios joined the firm in 2017 and was promoted to a Senior Manager and appointed member of the Board of Management in 2021. He has built over 10 years of experience in assurance services, business valuation, internal audit and risk management consulting across a diverse range of industries, with a strong focus on the financial services and technology sectors. He possesses in-depth expertise in working with Cyprus Investment Firms and Electronic Money Institutions regulated by CySEC and the Central Bank of Cyprus, among others.

Currently Stelios leads the Risk Management, Corporate Finance and Internal Audit sections of the International Compliance and Advisory Services Department.

He holds a BSc in Public and Business Administration from the University of Cyprus and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

George Panayiotou is appointed as Director, Member of the Board of Directors

George Panayiotou is appointed as Director in the Direct and Indirect Tax Department.

George joined the firm in 2021 having more than a decade of experience at a reputable firm and, was promoted to a Senior Manager and appointed member of the Board of Management in 2022. He has developed strong expertise in taxation, advising clients across a broad spectrum of industries and jurisdictions, including financial services, telecommunications, oil and gas, real estate, and technology. He has been involved in various organizational restructurings and
tax assessments and compliance reporting for several international groups of companies, as
well as tax due diligence and transfer pricing projects.

Currently George leads the Taxation Department and is responsible for the direction and performance of the department.

He holds a BA in Accounting & Finance from the University of Newcastle and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

Chara Acheriotou is appointed as Principal, Member of the Board of Directors

Chara Acheriotou is appointed as Principal in the International Compliance and Advisory Services Department.

Chara joined the firm in 2014 and was promoted to a Senior Manager and appointed member of the Board of Management in 2021. She has developed into an experienced advisor in 

authorization procedures and operational structuring for regulated entities, including investment firms, financial services companies, electronic money institutions, and gaming and gambling organizations. She provides practical, tailored guidance to clients across regulated sectors, supporting licensing and authorization processes both within the EU and internationally, as well as advising on post-licensing compliance and regulatory requirements. She also offers expertise in transactions involving acquisitions and mergers within the financial services space.

Chara holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Essex and an MSc in Finance and Banking from the Cyprus International Institute of Management.

Nicolas Klappis is appointed as Principal, Member of the Board of Directors

Nicolas Klappis is appointed as Principal in the Audit and Assurance Department.

Nicolas joined the firm in 2013 and was promoted to a Senior Manager and appointed member of the Board of Management in 2023. He has advanced through every stage of the audit and assurance function, demonstrating the commitment, technical expertise, and leadership qualities. With more than a decade of experience, he possesses strong expertise in the audit of multinational and international companies, with in‑depth knowledge of the application and interpretation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Nicolas holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of the West of England, Bristol, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

Andreas Paraskeva is appointed as Principal, Member of the Board of Directors

Andreas Paraskeva is appointed as Principal in the Financial Reporting and Advisory Department.

Andreas joined the firm in 2006 and was promoted to a Senior Manager and appointed member of the Board of Management in 2022. He has gained extensive experience in financial reporting and accounting services, supporting both local and international clients across the public and private sectors. His expertise spans a wide range of industries, including financial services, technology, communications, and entertainment. He has also developed strong knowledge of tax and VAT regulations, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards.

Andreas holds a BA in Accounting and Finance and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

Marios Papanicolaou is appointed as Principal, Member of the Board of Directors

Marios Papanicolaou is appointed as Principal in the Taxation Department.

Marios joined the firm in 2024 as a Senior Manager and member of the Board of Management, having more than a decade of international career within a reputable firm. Over the years, he has developed deep expertise in transfer pricing, financial transactions, benchmarking analysis, and cross‑border tax advisory across industries including financial services, energy, technology, wholesale and retail, and IP‑driven sectors. Marios has extensive experience preparing and reviewing transfer pricing documentation, leading due diligence engagements. He has also contributed to the development and growth of junior team members through ongoing guidance and support.

Marios holds a BA in Economics from the European University Cyprus and an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick.

Pambina Merakli is appointed as Senior Leader, Member of the Board of Management

Pambina Merakli is appointed as Senior Leader in the Financial Reporting and Advisory Department.

Pambina joined the firm in 2015 and has more than 10 years of professional experience in financial reporting, accounting advisory, and compliance services. She supports both local and international companies across a wide range of industries, managing a diverse client portfolio and delivering high‑quality, technically robust solutions. She leads engagement teams, oversees complex accounting projects, and ensures the consistent application of IFRS and other reporting frameworks. She also plays a key role in strengthening internal processes, enhancing service delivery, and mentoring junior professionals.

Pambina holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cyprus and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

Chara Zampa is appointed as Senior Leader, Member of the Board of Management

Chara Zampa is appointed as Senior Leader and as Group Compliance Officer and AML Compliance Officer.

Chara joined the firm in 2015 and has more than 10 years of professional experience in assurance, advisory, internal audit, and compliance services. Her diverse background across audit, regulatory compliance, and internal controls enables her to facilitate effective communication among departments and strengthen the firm’s control environment. She leverages her accumulated knowledge to enhance internal processes, support cross‑departmental alignment, and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and AML requirements.

Chara holds a BSc in Public and Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Cyprus, an MSc in Value Chain Management from the University of Kent, and she is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). She has further strengthened her professional development by completing the ICA Certification in AML for ICPAC and CBA Members.
