Cyprus Airways is proud to announce that it has been recognised as the Fastest Growing Airline in Western Europe during the 2.5 Airline Marketing Workshop held in Athens as part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of Athens International Airport.
The distinction highlights Cyprus Airways’ strong growth trajectory, expanding route network, and continued investment in strengthening regional and international connectivity. The award reflects the airline’s ongoing commitment to delivering reliable service, enhancing passenger experience, and supporting the development of tourism and business travel across the region.
The event, hosted at Kentro Athinon in Athens, brought together airline executives, aviation professionals, economists, journalists, and industry experts for discussions focused on the future of aviation, market developments, resilience, connectivity, and the evolving challenges facing the airline industry.
The workshop featured presentations and panels covering key topics shaping global aviation, including geopolitical developments and their impact on air travel, resilience and leadership in times of uncertainty, cybersecurity and aviation risk management, as well as global airline connectivity and economic outlooks presented by senior industry experts and representatives from IATA.
Among the distinguished speakers were journalist Stavros Ioannidis, Professor Marina Efthymiou of Dublin City University, resilience speaker and Paralympic gold medallist Danny Crates, Secure Horizons Executive Director Sarah Armstrong-Smith, and IATA Senior Economist Maja Marciniak.
Commenting on the recognition, Cyprus Airways stated that the award represents the collective efforts of the entire team and the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening Cyprus’ position as an important regional aviation hub.
Cyprus Airways also extended its congratulations to Athens International Airport on its 25-year milestone and thanked the organisers for hosting a successful and memorable event celebrating achievements within the aviation industry.
