After four successful years at the helm, Martin Brandenburger, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Lidl Hellas and Lidl Cyprus, will step down from the chairmanship at the end of February 2026. Starting March 1, 2026, Brandenburger will take on a new role as Chief Executive Officer of Lidl Italy and Lidl Malta.
Miltos Forozidis, currently Chief Operations Officer of Lidl Hellas and Lidl Cyprus, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on a temporary basis, effective March 1. With 15 years of experience at Lidl, Forozidis has held multiple leadership positions in Greece and gained extensive international experience, including management roles at Lidl Denmark and Lidl Germany.
This leadership transition reflects Lidl’s commitment to strong management continuity and continued growth across its European markets.
