Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar, encouraged business people to invest in his territory during the 15th Investment Conference held by the Turkey-US Business Council (TAIK). He stressed the importance of working together across different sectors for a sustainable future.

At the conference, Tatar explained that TAIK is a valuable platform for forming partnerships and improving trade. He met with several Turkish-American business leaders, promoting the potential for growth in tourism, construction, and higher education in Northern Cyprus.

During his visit, Tatar also talked with Turkey's Ambassador to the US, Sedat Onal, and met with journalists. He discussed with Enda Badzer, a Turkish Cypriot academic who is part of the delegation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Additionally, Gounesh Onar, Tatar's special representative, met with Anna Evstigneeva, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia. They discussed the ongoing Cyprus issue and regional concerns. Onar was joined by legal advisor Sulen Karabatziak and Seniha Birad Chinar, who oversees technical matters.

Tatar's push for investment comes at a time when Cyprus' occupied north remains a point of contention, as it is recognized only by Turkey. His efforts to attract international businesses highlight the complexities surrounding economic and diplomatic relations in the area.
