Press Release
Wizz Air, one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, is expanding WIZZ Class across its entire network following a successful trial period at six bases and strong demand from passengers seeking additional comfort without premium fares. The full rollout begins on 9 February, making the service available on routes where it has not yet been offered.
WIZZ Class was initially introduced on selected flights to and from Budapest, Bucharest Otopeni, Warsaw, London Luton, London Gatwick, and Rome Fiumicino, where uptake exceeded expectations – particularly among business travellers looking for more space and a smoother onboard experience.
With WIZZ Class, passengers enjoy a reserved empty middle seat in the first row (1B and 1E), providing extra personal space and a more comfortable environment to relax or work. As the first row also offers additional legroom, the service enhances comfort while maintaining Wizz Air’s efficient single-class cabin layout.
WIZZ Class can be purchased as an add-on during the booking flow when selecting Smart or Plus bundles, which already include priority boarding and a 10 kg carry-on suitcase. In addition to the reserved middle seat, WIZZ Class customers receive a complimentary non-alcoholic drink and snack.
“After testing WIZZ Class at six of our bases and receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback, it became clear that passengers – especially business travellers – value the extra comfort and space this service provides,” said Silvia Mosquera, Commercial Officer at Wizz Air. “Even with the limited initial rollout, demand exceeded our expectations. That’s why we’re now extending WIZZ Class across the network, giving more customers access to additional room and convenience while staying true to our efficient single‑class model.”
Unlike traditional business-class products, WIZZ Class requires no costly cabin redesign. By simply blocking two middle seats, Wizz Air delivers a more spacious experience while preserving the high-efficiency configuration that keeps fares low.
Following overwhelmingly positive feedback from early adopters, Wizz Air is excited to welcome more WIZZ Class passengers onboard as the service becomes available across its network.
