The Republic of Cyprus saw one new coronavirus case on Thursday, involving a patient receiving treatment at a private hospital and who recently travelled abroad, a Health Ministry announcement said.
The new case emerged after a bulk of 2,518 samples were checked for the virus in 24 hours, and raised total known cases in the Republic to 975.
Currently, two coronavirus patients are receiving treatment at the Famagusta General Hospital, while two more are intubated at the Nicosia General Hospital ICU.
