Press Release
Women in Tech® Cyprus and TechIsland are co-organizing the first Women in STEM Cyprus Forum, scheduled to take place on October 8th, 2024, at the Kolla Cultural Factory in Limassol. The event will be held under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, aligning with the global celebration of Ada Lovelace Day. This significant day honors the contributions of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and aims to elevate their profiles in these fields.
The Women in STEM Cyprus Forum aims to create a dynamic and inclusive platform for dialogue, networking, and the empowerment of women and girls in STEM careers, regardless of age. The agenda includes a series of inspiring speeches and panel discussions with prominent speakers, including Gender Equality Commissioner Josie Christodoulou. Attendees can expect thought-provoking sessions on key topics, such as increasing female participation in STEM, retaining women in technology roles, advancing women into leadership positions, and supporting female entrepreneurs in accessing venture capital and scaling their businesses. Special workshops will cater to final-year students, university students, and women transitioning into tech from other industries or re-entering the workforce after a career break.
Entrance to the Forum and participation in the workshops is free with pre-registration. To register and learn more about the speakers and the overall agenda, please visit: https://womenintech-cyprus.org

Our mission is to inspire and empower more women to break barriers in the innovation economy, fostering a community where their potential is not just recognized but actively nurtured.
