Aid meant for Gaza civilians diverted to Hamas, according to leaked recordings

Frustrations boil over as operatives accuse Hamas leadership of neglect, while humanitarian aid continues to be misdirected.

In a startling turn of events, newly released recordings from early 2024 reveal that humanitarian aid entering Gaza—intended to help civilians—was instead diverted to Hamas leaders. The recordings, exposed by Israel’s Channel 12, show tense communications between Hamas operatives, highlighting the disturbing truth that the aid was not reaching the people who needed it most.

Israel reportedly shared the recordings with the U.S., but despite the evidence, the Biden administration continued to affirm that 250 trucks of aid were entering Gaza daily. The recordings also uncovered a close and troubling connection between Hamas and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), hinting at a deeper web of collaboration.

In one of the conversations, Hamas operatives expressed their frustrations, revealing that aid had not reached their hands. Their anger intensified when they spoke of attacks on their families in Rafah, where women were reportedly assaulted inside a mosque. The operatives' voices carried a mix of frustration and betrayal, as they accused Hamas leadership of turning a blind eye to their struggles.

One operative's words spoke volumes: “We will tear you apart… you only care about yourselves.” This shocking admission paints a picture of a leadership more concerned with its own survival than the wellbeing of those it’s meant to serve, leaving Gaza’s civilians to pay the price.
