Barometric low ''BORA'' to impact region in weakened form

Rain, thunderstorms, and cooler temperatures expected through midweek

The barometric low ''BORA'' is expected to affect the region from late tonight in a weakened form.

Today will be mostly sunny, but gradually becoming partly and locally cloudy. Isolated showers are possible in the afternoon, especially in the mountains. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light, 3 on the Beaufort scale. The sea will be rough to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 20 degrees inland and along the coast, and 11 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight the weather will be partly cloudy and partly cloudy with isolated showers or thunderstorms, especially on the west coast. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 8 degrees inland, around 12 degrees on the coast and 6 degrees in the higher mountains. Localised frost may form in the higher mountains.

On Tuesday and Wednesday the weather will be mainly cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Hail is expected in thunderstorms. From Wednesday evening, the phenomena will decrease and be confined to the coast, while the weather will improve noticeably. Isolated showers are expected on Thursday.

Temperatures will fall slightly on Tuesday to just below average, while no significant change is expected until Thursday.
