A new era in healthcare delivery in Cyprus was marked by the Blessing Ceremony of Hadassah Medical Center Limassol, the first official center of the historic Hadassah Medical Organization in Europe outside Israel. The event represented a significant milestone both for the project itself and for the continuously growing cooperation between Cyprus and Israel in the field of healthcare.
The Blessing Ceremony was officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol and the Chief Rabbi of Cyprus, Rabbi Arie Zeev Raskin, giving the event a powerful symbolism of unity, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to serving people regardless of nationality, religion, or origin.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the State, members of the business and medical communities, partners of the Organization, and representatives of the media, who were given a guided tour of the Center's state-of-the-art facilities and informed about the advanced medical services already available.
In his address, the Chairman of Hadassah Medical Center Limassol, Mr. Lambros Christofi, emphasized that the establishment of the Center marks the beginning of a long-term strategic investment in healthcare in Cyprus.

It is an organization with more than a century of history, internationally recognized scientific excellence, and an unquestionable contribution to medicine, research, and education. It is a great honor that Hadassah has chosen Cyprus as the base for its European expansion, and an even greater responsibility for all of us to live up to this trust.”
CEO of Hadassah Medical Center Limassol, Mr. George Zachariadis, stated that the Center was created with a clear focus on accurate diagnosis, personalized care, and an outstanding patient experience, combining advanced technology, leading medical professionals, and direct access to the expertise and know-how of the Hadassah Medical Organization.
Guests had the opportunity to explore the Center’s diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, as well as its specialized prevention, rehabilitation, and integrated healthcare management programs, all designed according to Hadassah’s highest standards.
The Blessing Ceremony served as a prelude to the official Grand Opening, which will take place on 15 October, with the participation of high-ranking representatives from Cyprus, Israel, Greece, and other countries.
At the same time, Hadassah presented its broader development vision for Cyprus, which includes the creation of new hospital infrastructure. Within the next 12 months, the Organization plans to establish a medium-sized hospital in Nicosia with five operating theatres and approximately 50 inpatient beds. In Limassol, a property is currently under evaluation for the development of a Category A hospital with 8–10 operating theatres and more than 100 beds. These initiatives pave the way for even greater future investments, including the Hadassah Healthcare Park, an integrated healthcare ecosystem designed to significantly elevate the standard of healthcare services in Cyprus.
