Firefighters have rushed to Neorion Street, on the Moutsopoulou coast in Pasalimani, where a two-story building collapsed shortly before 10 a.m. The building was undergoing renovation work.
In the latest development, there are reports of one fatality.
According to information, at the time of the collapse, there were 9 workers - construction workers - inside the old building, 3 of whom were lightly injured and preemptively taken to the hospital.
The driver of the truck at the scene was trapped inside the vehicle's cabin as he was crushed by structural materials.
After an operation, the man was rescued alive.
At the scene, 24 firefighters are in operation with 8 vehicles - a Special Team from the 1st Fire Brigade with a search and rescue dog.

THE DRIVER WAS RESCUED FROM THE TRUCK CAB AND TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL AS AN INJURED INDIVIDUAL.
