A car caught fire on the side of the highway near Larnaca airport on Tuesday, sending thick black smoke into the air and slowing traffic in the area.
Pictures from the scene show the vehicle on the roadside with an ambulance parked nearby as motorists queue behind it.
There is no official information yet on what caused the fire or whether anyone was injured. Drivers approaching the area are advised to slow down and follow any instructions given at the scene.
