Clear skies and hot lies: Summer’s in full sass mode

Winds can't decide where they're going, the sea's feeling moody, and temperatures are climbing like they’ve got somewhere to be.

Today’s weather is playing it cool, or rather, hot, with mostly clear skies and not much drama overhead. Winds will start their day with a light flirtation from the northeast to southeast at a dainty 3 Beaufort, before dramatically changing their mind by afternoon and blowing in from the southwest to northwest. Still just light to moderate though, more of a gentle hair-ruffler than a hat-stealer.

The sea will be slightly rough, like it had a bad dream but is trying to keep it together.

Temperatures are on the rise like gossip in a small town. Expect a sizzling 38°C inland where the sun is clearly trying to prove a point, 33°C along the coast where at least the breeze might offer you some hope, and a "relatively reasonable but still warm enough to sweat through your shirt" 28°C in the mountains.

Tonight, the skies remain mostly clear because even clouds need a night off. Winds will keep blowing from the northwest to northeast with a lazy 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea continues its slightly rough phase, probably going through something emotional.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the weather has no big surprises in store. It’ll stay mostly clear like it forgot how to be anything else. Temperatures will rise ever so slightly, just enough to make you question whether your air conditioner is underperforming or just deeply disappointed in you. Either way, the heat’s sticking around and it’s officially shorts season, whether your legs are ready or not.
