Cypriot Karate athletes triumph in both male and female categories

Silver and bronze medals won at European Championships

Cypriot karatekas Loizos Vasiliou and Anna Michaelidou have made their country proud with impressive performances at the European Karate Championships held in Poland.

Loizos Vasiliou claimed the silver medal in the Men's -84kg category at the U21 European Karate Championship. The talented athlete fought his way to the final, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.

Meanwhile, Anna Michaelidou brought home a bronze medal in the U16 European Karate Championship. The young karateka earned a spot on the podium after securing five victories, with her only loss coming in the semifinals to Greece. In the third-place match, she triumphed over Serbia's national champion to secure the bronze.

Both athletes have received heartfelt congratulations for their performances, and the entire Cypriot team is wished continued success as the competition progresses over the next days.
