Cypriot robotics teams earn top honors at international competition

Three teams from Epiteugma Robotics Lab win prestigious awards at the FIRST Tech Challenge in the Netherlands

Three robotics teams from Cyprus have brought home prestigious awards from the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Benelux Tournament held in The Hague, Netherlands, on January 19.

The teams, all part of the Epiteugma Robotics Lab, competed against international teams and emerged victorious in several categories. The awards include:

- Epiteugma RevvedUp: Finalist Alliance Award (2nd place) and the Motivate Award.
- Epiteugma MouflonBots: Connect Award.
- Epiteugma Gladiators: Design Award.

The teams were celebrated for their innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, which impressed judges throughout the tournament.

Cypriot Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Spyros Attas, attended the competition and personally congratulated the students on their impressive achievements.

The competition, which took place at the American School in The Hague, served as a platform for young minds from around the world to showcase their talent in robotics. For the Cypriot teams, it was a moment of pride, marking yet another step in the country’s growing presence in the global robotics community.

This success highlights the talent and dedication of Cypriot youth and the importance of supporting STEM education initiatives across the island.
