Newsroom

Police in Larnaca have arrested three individuals after uncovering 165 dead wild birds in an orchard. A judicial search of the 54-year-old owner’s property yielded the carcasses, an improvised sound-producing device, and other items collected as evidence. His car contained three pointed knives and a club.

A 32-year-old on the scene was also taken into custody after officers found three knives in his vehicle. The third, aged 28, was detained for residing illegally in Cyprus.

The local police continue to investigate, leaving the community to ponder whether the orchard was a crime scene, a grim hobby, or something in between.
