Good morning and happy Wednesday! Let’s talk weather—and heads up, there’s some fine dust in the air today, so take precautions if you're sensitive.
Today: After some light fog clears, expect mostly clear skies with a bit of local cloudiness here and there. Winds will start out light and variable but shift to a southwesterly to northwesterly breeze at 3 to 4 Beaufort by midday. The sea will be slightly rough, so maybe hold off on any ambitious boating plans. Temperatures will peak at around 20°C inland and along the coast, while the mountains will stay cooler at 12°C.
Tonight: The skies will remain mostly clear, though you might notice some low clouds in certain areas. Winds will blow northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort, occasionally reaching 4 Beaufort along the west coast. The sea will still be slightly rough, and temperatures will drop to 9°C inland, 11°C on the coast, and a chilly 3°C in the higher mountains, where frost is expected.
Looking ahead:
- Thursday: Expect more clouds and possibly a few isolated showers.
- Friday and Saturday: Mostly clear skies return, though some localized cloudiness will persist.
Temperatures will dip slightly on Thursday but will remain above the seasonal average through Saturday.
And for winter lovers: the snow on the highest peaks of Troodos is currently sitting at 5 cm. A modest start, but enough to add a wintery charm to the mountains!
Stay safe, and don’t forget to mask up or limit outdoor activity if the dust starts to bother you. Have a great day!
