Dusty skies and mild weather

Fluctuating temperatures through weekend

Newsroom

A weak low-pressure system is affecting the area, bringing occasional dust floating in the atmosphere until Thursday evening. Concentrations of dust may temporarily increase during this period.

Today, the weather will start mostly clear and gradually become partly cloudy with medium and high clouds. Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, ranging from weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and occasionally moderate at 4 Beaufort in some areas. The sea will be calm to slightly turbulent. Temperatures are expected to rise to around 37 degrees Celsius in the interior, 29 degrees on the west coast, 31 degrees on the rest of the coast, and 28 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, with some increased medium and high clouds initially. Winds will shift to mostly northwest and remain weak at 3 Beaufort, with the sea continuing to be calm to slightly turbulent. Temperatures will drop to around 20 degrees in the interior and on the coast, and to 17 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Thursday, the weather will be mostly clear, though occasional increased clouds are expected. Friday and Saturday will also be mostly clear, but locally increased clouds during the midday hours may lead to isolated rains, primarily in the mountainous regions.

Temperatures are expected to gradually drop sharply until Friday, remaining slightly above the average climatic values for this time of year. No significant temperature change is anticipated on Saturday.
