A warm air mass over Cyprus is gradually receding, with maximum temperatures reaching upper 30’s around the capital and low to mid 30’s along the coast, while humidity is on the rise.
Thursday skies will be mostly clear while increasing low clouds are expected to appear over local areas in the west. Humidity levels are trending upwards, with strong winds expected in coastal areas, including very strong winds on the southern coast.
Maximum highs are expected to reach 39° Celsius inland, around 34 on in the east and south, 30 in the north and out west, while it will be 29 in the mountains.
Evening skies will remain clear while scattered low clouds are likely in the west and on the northern coast. Local areas could also be affected by thin fog and low clouds in the early morning hours.
Minimum lows will drop to 23 degrees inland and out west, 24 in the south and eastern parts, around 22 in the north, while it will be 20 up in the mountains.
Weekend drop, chances of rain
Friday weather is expected to be clear while increasing clouds will appear in land and over the mountains. Temperature is expected to drop further but only slightly, while it will still remain close to normal averages for this time of the year.
There are chances of rain on the weekend over the mountains and areas inland, while temperatures will continue to drop through Sunday.
