A fire broke out in a residence in the Omonia area of Limassol on Sunday night, causing damage to the living room and affecting the entire interior of the house due to heat. Authorities are investigating the cause in collaboration with the police.
According to Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis, Limassol fire crews were dispatched at 22:09 with three fire trucks to tackle the blaze, which started on the first floor of an unfinished two-story building.
The residents evacuated safely before the fire spread. Upon arrival, firefighters conducted searches to ensure no one was trapped inside.
Using breathing apparatus and water hoses, firefighters managed to extinguish the flames.
The fire's cause remains under investigation. A video of the incident is circulating on social media.
