Friday’s forecast: The sky keeps its composure

Warm temperatures and a feisty sea set the tone ahead of a cloudier, moodier Monday.

Newsroom

High pressure is still running the show today, keeping everything tidy while letting a bit of light dust drift through the air at intervals, like the atmosphere forgot to finish its sweeping.

Today: Expect mostly clear skies, though some high clouds may wander in briefly, striking their best “look at me” poses before drifting off again. Winds will stroll in from the northeast to southeast at a light-to-moderate 3-4 Beaufort, occasionally ramping up to a confident 4–5 Beaufort just to remind you who’s in charge.

The sea is slightly rough across most regions, but in certain spots it goes full “don’t test me,” reaching rough conditions. Temperatures will rise to about 28°C inland and along the coasts, while the higher mountains enjoy a cooler 21°C, as always pretending they’re above the weather (literally).

Tonight: Mostly clear skies continue as the day winds down. Winds shift from north to northeast, maintaining a polite light-to-moderate 3-4 Beaufort. The northern and eastern coasts keep a slightly rough sea, but the rest gradually calm to “I’m fine, everything’s fine.”

Temperatures dip to around 14°C inland and in the higher mountains, and around 17°C on the coasts, the atmosphere's way of tucking everything in for the night.

Saturday & Sunday: Expect mostly clear weather with occasional high clouds drifting by, as if rehearsing for Monday’s more dramatic entrance.

Monday: Increased cloudiness steps onto the stage and brings local showers and isolated thunderstorms, the sky deciding it’s time to express some feelings.

Temperatures rise slightly on Saturday and hold steady Sunday, staying noticeably above average because they insist on being extra. On Monday, they take a small step downward but remain above the climatological norms, not quite ready to commit to coolness.
