The Health Ministry announced 364 coronavirus cases on Thursday, raising total cases detected so far to 41,475.
A total of 57,791 tests were conducted, marking a positivity rate of 0.63%.
No fatalities were reported on Thursday, leaving the death toll steady at 241.
93 of the new cases were primary contacts, one was an airport arrival, 44 were people who took the initiative to get tested, 15 were tested at a general hospital, while 12 were tested via rapid test at private labs and pharmacies.
Among new cases, 199 involved people who tested positive to a rapid test. A majority of 98 were detected in Limassol after 10,857 tests were conducted (positivity rate of 0.90%), followed by Nicosia where 41 people tested positive after 14,606 tests (0.28%), while 14 tested positive in Larnaca (0.25%), 12 in Paphos (0.41%), and six in Famagusta (0.29%). Another 10 were detected at businesses, one was a National Guard member, and 17 involved school staff or students.
Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 204 coronavirus patients, of which 45 are in critical condition.
71 patients are in the Famagusta general hospital, eight of which are in the ICU. The Nicosia general hospital is also treating 55 patients, 21 of which are in the ICU. 59 more coronavirus patients are at the Limassol general hospital where eight are in the ICU, while three are at the Makarios hospital in Nicosia.
