The Health Ministry on Tuesday announced 95 new coronavirus cases, raising total cases detected so far to 31,959, while the death toll remained stable at 214.
The new cases emerged after 25,427 tests were conducted. Of the 95 new cases, 46 involved people who tested positive to a rapid test.
The remaining 24 were contacts, six were people who took the initiative to get tested, 12 were people who got tested at general hospitals, while seven got tested via rapid test at private labs.
Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 94 coronavirus patients, 35 of which are in critical condition.
17 patients are in the Famagusta general hospital, four of which are in the ICU. The Nicosia general hospital is also treating 36 patients, 23 of which are in the ICU. 38 more coronavirus patients are at the Limassol general hospital where five are in the ICU, while three more are at the Makario hospital in Nicosia.
