With Cyprus’ epidemiological situation faring well, health authorities raised the total number of people to be allowed to gather indoors from June 24 from 50 to 75, and outdoors from 100 to 150.
Initially, the health ministry had announced that on June 24, when the rule allowing gatherings of up to 10 people will be scrapped, a maximum of 50 people will be allowed to gather in indoor spaces, and 100 outdoors. From July 7, these figures were to be increased to 75 indoors and 150 outdoors.
But the positive epidemiological situation of island allowed health authorities to re-evaluate, applying rules that were to be enforced on July 7 earlier.
As such, from Wednesday next week, gatherings of up to 75 people will be permitted indoors, and gatherings of up to 150 people will be allowed in outdoor spaces.
Health officials clarified that simultaneous indoor and outdoor gatherings taking advantage of both maximums are not permitted.
