With a clear sense of its social responsibility and a deep understanding of the needs of Cypriot households, as from Monday 2 March, the company is proceeding with a permanent price reduction on selected fresh pork products, more than 70% of which are sourced from Cypriot producers, remaining faithful to providing top quality products at permanently unbeatable prices.
Within the framework of this strategic initiative, Lidl Cyprus is not limited to temporary responses to market conditions but is implementing a timeless choice that defines its entire business model. The company's philosophy is to offer low prices and maintain them, systematically investing in consistency and durability, with no compromise on quality. This practical support is reflected in the data from the previous year, as in 2025 alone the company proceeded with price reductions on over 600 products while maintaining stable prices on more than 1,000 additional items.
This effort continues dynamically in 2026, with a typical example being the current initiative for Lent season, where an additional -15% discount is offered on basic goods, such as frozen vegetables and rice, facilitating access to quality nutritional options. This consistent quality-price ratio has been officially recognized, with the Best Buy awards highlighting the company as the No. 1 supermarket in the best quality-price ratio for 2025/2026, according to an independent survey by the international organization ICERTIAS (International Certification Association).
