With a high sense of responsibility and social contribution, Lidl Cyprus actively stands by those affected in recent days, offering immediate humanitarian aid towards the structures for temporary accommodation and activities in Limassol. Responding to the urgent needs that have arisen, the company is proceeding with a series of targeted actions to provide relief to our fellow citizens and support for children.
Specifically, Lidl Cyprus is strengthening the Accommodation Centers in Limassol by offering in-kind humanitarian aid to cover basic living and hygiene needs. The contribution focuses on the provision of food items, beverages, and personal care products for the individuals hosted in these facilities.
Additionally, recognizing the need for children to have a safe environment, Lidl Cyprus also supports the children's activity initiatives organized by the Cyprus Red Cross Society and remains ready to continue providing food supplies to any reception or activity center where deemed necessary.
It is worth noting that this support is a continuation of the long-standing cooperation between Lidl Cyprus and the Cyprus Red Cross Society, which marks 13 years of partnership since 2013. The company is the official supporter of the Disaster Management Service, having actively contributed to strengthening its operational capacity through the donation of a specialized vehicle and a trailer, which are utilized for immediate response to emergency situations across Cyprus.
