Man arrested for alleged harassment of minor in Larnaca

A 65-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, March 11, after being accused of allegedly harassing a minor in Larnaca. The arrest came after a report was made to the Orokklini Police Station by the young girl, who claimed that she was harassed by the man, a bus driver, on the afternoon of Monday, March 10.

According to information from local authorities, the minor reported the incident to the police, and shortly afterward, a warrant for the man’s arrest was issued. Later that evening, at around 7:00 p.m., the police took the suspect into custody.

Today, the 65-year-old appeared before the Larnaca District Court, which issued a three-day detention order. The investigation into the alleged incident is ongoing, and authorities are working to gather further details.

This case has raised concerns in the community, as parents and residents express their shock over the disturbing claims. The investigation is set to continue in the coming days as the police work to determine the full extent of the situation.
