Sometimes, life just falls through… literally. That was the case for one unfortunate man who found himself in a rather crappy situation when he fell into a septic tank in Alhambra Tuesday morning.
At 9:43 AM, the Nicosia Fire Department received an urgent call that someone had fallen into a septic pit about four meters deep. The poor guy was just minding his business when the roof of a house courtyard collapsed beneath him. Talk about a real dung deal!
Fortunately, the fire stations responded faster than you can say “flush,” deploying a rescue team with all the necessary gear. They used a special harness to safely pull the man out of his smelly predicament. Kudos to the Emergency Response Team, who managed to keep their cool, even in the face of, well, worse-case scenarios.
Though the man was unharmed, he was taken to the Nicosia Emergency Response Center for precautionary checks. We’re happy to report he’s in stable condition and will hopefully stay away from septic tanks for the foreseeable future!
No one wants to be stuck in a stinky situation, but sometimes life just pits you against the worst. In the end, it was all cleaned up, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief – especially for our hero, the one who fell… and the one who helped pull him out.
