More than 100 students test positive today, Monday

Of the 6399 close contacts, 110 were found to be covid positive

As 'Test to Stay' continues in schools around the island, the Minister of Health announced today that 110 positive cases were found in a group of 6399 close contacts.

Students who tested positive are expected to follow quarantine procedures and to report their close contacts using the online platform https://phase.ucy.ac.cy/.

'Test to Stay' measures were imposed on schools in order to allow students who became close contacts of covid cases to remain in school physically to attend classes, provided they undergo daily rapid testing with a negative result.

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, of the 6399 students deemed close contacts who underwent a rapid test today, Monday the 7th of February, 110 of them tested positive for covid.
