DISY MP and former Health Minister Giorgos Pamboridis submitted his supporting signatures Friday afternoon for the party’s nomination for the 2028 presidential election, according to information received.
The move comes a day after former party leader Averof Neofytou delivered his own documents to DISY headquarters, arriving with five boxes and saying he had gathered more than 3,000 signatures.
The submissions mark another step toward choosing who will carry DISY’s banner in the presidential contest. They precede the official filing of candidacies Monday, Oct. 26.
The party’s nationwide vote is scheduled for Nov. 28, 2026, when members will choose their nominee for the 2028 election.
