Good morning, sunseekers! It's Friday, and summer is in full swing. As you plan your beach or mountain getaway, here's what to expect from Mother Nature today.
We'll have partly cloudy skies today, with a chance of isolated showers in the mountains afternoon—just enough to cool you off if you're hiking up high! Winds will be blowing from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, but picking up to a strong 5 Beaufort along the coast. The sea will be a little rough, so surfers and sailors, get ready for some fun waves! Temperatures will soar to a toasty 35°C (95°F) inland, a comfortable 31°C (88°F) along the coast, and a refreshing 27°C (81°F) in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the skies will clear up for a beautiful evening, though you might see some low clouds drifting along the west and north coasts. Winds will shift to a westerly to northwesterly breeze, staying light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, with occasional gusts to 4 Beaufort locally. The sea will be choppy to slightly rough, perfect for those moonlit beach walks. Expect temperatures to dip to a pleasant 22°C (72°F) inland and along the coast, and a cooler 17°C (63°F) in the higher elevations.
Looking ahead to the weekend and early next week, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will bring mostly clear skies with some afternoon cloud build-up, especially in the mountains. Temperatures will be on the rise, getting warmer than usual for this time of year.
So grab your sunglasses, pack your sunscreen, and get ready to enjoy a fantastic summer weekend!
