A serious case of hare poaching during the training of hunting dogs was reported Friday morning by members of the Game and Wildlife Service.

According to a post by the service on social media, "During a search of a vehicle carrying two individuals who had been training their hunting dogs in an area of Nicosia district, a freshly killed hare was found with visible bite wounds from dogs."

It is worth noting that yesterday, the Game and Wildlife Service announced that its specialized teams had discovered several poisoned baits on the morning of Friday, March 28. The poisoned baits were found in a hunting dog training area in Mari, Larnaca district, according to the report.
