During a three-day enforcement campaign, Limassol police made multiple arrests, seized vehicles, and issued numerous citations in a bid to prevent crime, traffic violations, and ensure public safety, according to the Limassol Police Department.

From Friday until early Monday, police checked 512 vehicles and 561 individuals. They conducted 112 breathalyzer tests, finding 19 drivers under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, 141 traffic citations were issued, 14 traffic cases were filed against drivers, and five cars and two motorcycles were confiscated.

Inspections of various premises revealed that three establishments were operating without licenses for business, alcohol, or music.

The Limassol Crime Prevention Unit arrested three wanted individuals, a 31-year-old man for illegal stay in the Republic and traffic offenses, and, during a motorized patrol, a person for possession of burglary tools.

Six people were arrested following a brawl at the seafront, and a vehicle inspection led to the discovery of a quantity of untaxed tobacco products. The Customs Department fined a 59-year-old man €2,500 for the offense.

Additionally, as part of fire prevention efforts, rural station patrols monitored their respective areas, covering both primary and secondary roads.
