Police said they will review all traffic violations recorded by mobile speed cameras in areas affected by the deadly wildfire in Limassol and neighboring districts.
The decision follows a briefing by the Police Headquarters Communication Branch regarding the use of mobile cameras in the Limassol district, according to a police statement released Friday.
After the review, the cases will be forwarded to the attorney general, who will decide whether to dismiss them. Police said the chief of police has already consulted with the assistant attorney general on the matter.
Police leadership ordered the suspension of mobile speed camera use across the Limassol district on July 24 due to the ongoing wildfire. The suspension will remain in effect until Monday, July 28.
