The Epic Street Fest, which has now been established as an institution in the heart of the capital, is characterized by its philanthropic nature.
All the proceeds from the rentals of food and drink stalls, as well as all the proceeds from the sales of the Charity Wings kiosk, where the team of Epic, SppMedia and the radio producers of Deejay Radio, cooked chicken wings from Nefeli Farm, were given to the Multifunctional Municipal Center of Nicosia Municipality, supporting its great work.
The delivery of the cheque from the proceeds of the last four Epic Street Fest to the Multifunctional Municipal Center of Nicosia Municipality, took place on Wednesday, January 10, at the premises of the Multifunctional Municipal Center, in the presence of the Mayor of Nicosia, Constantinos Yiorkatzis.
The delivery of the cheque was also attended by Lefteris Athanasiou - Head of Communications of EPIC, Roula Georgopoulou - Responsible for the Multifunctional Municipal Center of Nicosia, Christina Karamani - Responsible for the programs of the elderly at the Multifunctional Center of Nicosia, Eleni Loukaidou - Member of the Municipal Council of Nicosia Municipality, as well as representatives from SppMedia and Deejay Radio.
The cheque, amounting to €7400, was delivered by Vasiliki Papamichael - Radio Producer at Deejay Radio 93.5, Kalia Dragatakis - Radio Producer at Deejay Radio 93.5 and Lefteris Athanasiou - Head of Communications of EPIC.
Mr. Lefteris Athanasiou, during the delivery of the money, stated, "The offer to society is an integral part of our culture at Epic and we are very happy that we can help the Multifunctional Center of Nicosia Municipality and support our fellow human beings who are in need and especially the poor children of the schools of the area.
We thank the Municipality of Nicosia for granting us the space, SPP Media for organizing the event and of course the people who embraced the Epic Street Fest for yet another time and helped us to collect the significant amount that we offer today".
The Municipality of Nicosia, through the Multifunctional Municipal Center of Nicosia and with the support of the Social Welfare Services of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Youth, European funding and Private sponsorships, provides quality services of care, employment and education to children, infants, toddlers, elderly, immigrants, single-parent, large, third-child families and unemployed parents.
Through this philanthropic action, Epic, SppMedia and Deejay Radio show in practice the importance of giving in our lives, supporting through the Epic Street Fest our fellow human beings who need it.
