A cooling pattern over the weekend comes to an abrupt end on Monday with temperature highs expected to reach 39 degrees as maximums keep rising gradually.
A low pressure system is still affecting areas over Cyprus with Monday skies mostly clear in the early part of the day while afternoon clouds raise chances of local showers mainly in the mountains.
Strong daytime winds are also expected to reach 5 points on the Beaufort scale along the southern coast.
Clear weather will continue through most of the week but not without periods of increasing clouds, while temperature will rise gradually
Temperature highs will reach 39 degrees Celsius inland, 33 in the west, around 35 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 30 high up in the mountains.
Evening weather will be mostly clear with low cloud formations and thin fog expected overnight through the early morning hours.
Temperature lows will drop to 24 degrees inland, around 25 in coastal regions, while it will be 18 higher up.
Clear weather will continue through most of the week but not without periods of increasing clouds, while temperature highs are expected to rise gradually through Thursday when levels will reach slightly above normal averages for this time of the year.
