Andriana Nicolaou, the mother of Thanasis Nicolaou, has released excerpts from expert reports she commissioned abroad, which she says support her longstanding claim that her son was strangled.

“If necessary, and if my lawyers agree, I may decide to publish the full reports,” Nicolaou said in a statement posted to Facebook.

In the post, she wrote: “In the final photograph, it is clearly visible, even to the most uninformed or foolish eye, that Thanasis was strangled. His airways were closed, and my child died from asphyxiation due to pressure applied to his neck, while he was also being struck with blunt objects that caused internal injuries but left no external marks.”

The expert findings have not been independently verified by authorities, and no official statement has yet been issued in response.
