Police are asking the public to help locate three young men as they continue investigating the possession and circulation of counterfeit banknotes in the Famagusta district.
The case relates to an incident reported on Sept. 11, although police have not disclosed how many fake notes were involved, their value, or where they were allegedly used.
The men named in the appeal are:
- Hamouda Bakdalia, 21
- Ahmad Baqdalia, 21
- Khaled Bagdaliah, 23
All three are Syrian nationals.
Cyprus Police said the men are wanted to assist with the investigation. The appeal does not mean they have been convicted of any offense.
Anyone who recognizes them or has information that could help officers locate them is asked to call the Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department at 23-803040, contact the nearest police station, or call the Citizen’s Line at 1460.
