Today's weather: Mild with a chilly evening

Sunny spells on Thursday, showers possible Friday and Saturday

Newsroom

Good morning! The weather today will be a mix of partly cloudy skies with occasional moments of cloud cover. Expect some low and high clouds drifting by, but nothing too dramatic. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the northeast to southeast (and from southwest to northwest in the west), at around 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough – perfect for a gentle dip!

Temperature-wise, it’s a mild day, with highs reaching around 18°C inland, 20°C along the coast, and cooler at around 10°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight: A Chilly Breeze

As the sun sets, it’ll remain partly cloudy with a few more moments of overcast skies. Winds will shift a bit, coming from the northwest to northeast, with a light breeze on the northern coast. Temperatures will drop, with inland areas cooling to about 6°C, while coastal areas stay around 10°C. In the mountains, it will get pretty chilly, around 3°C, with a chance of frost forming in higher altitudes.

The Forecast for the Next Few Days:

- Thursday: Expect mostly clear skies, with a few high clouds here and there. A lovely day ahead!

- Friday: Mostly clear for most areas, with some clouds popping up in the mountains after midday. There’s a slight chance of isolated rain, especially in the higher areas and along the coast in the evening.

- Saturday: A few isolated showers are expected, mainly in the highlands and areas south of Troodos after midday.

Temperatures will stay comfortably above the seasonal average throughout the weekend, so no need to bundle up too much – but keep a jacket handy for those cool evenings. Oh, and for snow lovers: the highest peaks of Troodos have an 18 cm snow cover at the moment!

Enjoy your day and stay weather-wise!
